2021 Dacia Logan: 3rd generation
The third-generation Logan retained a very clear mission in Romania during 2021: practical sedan transport with a usable boot and a tightly controlled equipment budget. It uses much of the engineering philosophy of the contemporary Sandero, but it is not interchangeable with that hatchback when cargo access or a family’s luggage needs are considered.
Which 2021 vehicle is this?
Dacia announced Romanian ordering in late 2020, and its corporate results confirm the Logan remained a substantial Romanian seller in calendar 2021. Accordingly this is a 2021 sale-year profile rather than an invented universally designated “MY2021”. Its petrol and factory petrol/LPG options require careful distinction. The newer generation should not be confused with the long-running earlier Logan.
This profile applies to RO and identifies a vehicle offered during calendar 2021. Registrations, facelifts and equipment in other jurisdictions are not interchangeable. A specification mentioned below applies only to the named version; optional equipment and later software or homologation changes need separate documentation.

What matters in everyday ownership
The sedan body appeals to buyers who want a separate luggage compartment rather than a high-riding crossover. TCe turbo versions provide a different power delivery from the simple SCe 65; factory ECO-G can be sensible only when access to LPG infrastructure and local rules make it useful. The CVT alternative caters to buyers who prioritize not shifting gears in traffic.
Used-buying checks in 2026
Confirm the manufacturing generation and regional trim from original documents. On a factory LPG car, inspect the relevant fuel-system documentation, tank certification and mandated regional inspections with a qualified professional. On a CVT car, determine precisely which gearbox was installed rather than treating the entire engine family as one service specification. Verify service history, accident repairs, tire sizes and optional assistance.
Alternatives and limits
A Sandero is often more convenient for loading tall objects, while the Sandero Stepway offers a raised visual treatment. A Renault Clio emphasizes a different cabin and chassis brief. Used buyers should decide whether a separate sedan trunk is truly more useful before choosing this model solely on nominal length or brochure equipment.
