Such introductory range estimates should not be treated as guaranteed EPA-certified values for every tyre and wheel combination. The conventional 530i is not an electric vehicle, and later plug-in hybrid variants should not be retrofitted into the 2024 launch record.

On a used car, establish the full drivetrain and market configuration before comparing asking prices. For an i5, the charging cable, charging history, battery warranty eligibility and practical route network matter. For a gasoline version, check service records and fluid-maintenance requirements. BMW’s hands-free driving features operate only where enabled and under stated conditions; a seller’s photograph of a steering wheel button is not proof of active functionality.

Neither power nor a launch-year press estimate substitutes for assessing ride comfort, cabin ergonomics and the actual operating cost of the selected drivetrain.
