2024 Peugeot 3008 / E-3008: What Used Buyers Need to Know

The third-generation Peugeot 3008 is one of the 2024 crossovers for which a model name alone tells a buyer remarkably little. Its new fastback-leaning shape covers petrol-assisted and fully electric choices, and the Peugeot E-3008 is not simply a previous-generation 3008 with a battery. This guide concerns the new-generation models publicly introduced into the Turkish market in 2024; do not transfer their local availability, warranty or charging configurations to French, British or other country listings without checking the corresponding local brochure.

Powertrains, equipment and market specifications

The Turkish launch material describes a 1.2-litre 136-horsepower 48-volt hybrid version and an electric E-3008 offering a 73 kWh battery and 210-horsepower output. Peugeot quoted an electric driving-range figure around 500 kilometres using the WLTP method for the named launch configuration. Such a laboratory-cycle figure is not an estimate of a particular used car’s winter motorway range. Owners considering the electric version should check charging connector compatibility, battery state-of-health documentation where obtainable, and the actual on-board charging configuration before making a long-distance plan.

Checking a used example

Both versions introduce a substantially revised cabin interface and a more design-led body style than the preceding generation. A buyer should spend time with its controls, screen visibility and driver-assistance menus, then check whether the local grade includes the advertised functions. Compared with a conventional hatchback, the raised driving position is useful; compared with squarer family SUVs, the swooping roofline may be less helpful with tall loads. Ask for proof of maintenance and software updates that specifically matches the chosen drivetrain and market, rather than assuming petrol-hybrid and EV servicing is interchangeable.

Who should buy it, and alternatives

Choose the 48-volt hybrid if charging access is limited and the driving pattern is mixed. Consider the E-3008 when home or workplace charging makes the daily journey predictable and electric running is the priority. Alternatives worth assessing in the relevant market include the Volkswagen Tiguan and Hyundai Tucson on the combustion-assisted side, or the Kia EV6 and Skoda Enyaq among EVs. The decisive point in the used market is exactly which new-generation 3008 has been offered, not an unqualified badge or a copied international range claim.
