Identity and model-year context
Zeekr launched the MIX in China on 23 October 2024, moving its earlier April design reveal into a real production model available to buyers. Although it resembles a futuristic capsule or compact van, it is best understood as an electrically powered family MPV based on Zeekr’s SEA-M architecture. The manufacturer emphasizes unusually flexible interior packaging, including front seats that can swivel and an innovative dual sliding-door arrangement. This entry relates to that first 2024 Chinese commercial launch; later export variants, software services and potential alternative seating configurations should not be inferred without documentation.
Powertrain and market details
Zeekr’s 2024 product communication gives a 4,688 mm overall length and 3,008 mm wheelbase, a combination intended to dedicate much of the footprint to usable cabin space. It specified a 76 kWh LFP battery with 550 km on the Chinese CLTC test, and an optional 102 kWh NMC battery with a stated CLTC range exceeding 700 km. The same launch describes an 800-volt electrical system and a manufacturer claim of 10–80 percent charging in 10.5 minutes for the eligible LFP battery under suitable charging conditions. These are Chinese-market figures, not WLTP or EPA estimates.
Used buying: equipment and practicality
Its cabin concept is the reason to consider this model, but also the part that deserves most inspection. Sliding doors and their hidden-pillar structure, rotating seats, movable console and extensive electronic interfaces are expensive conveniences if damaged and should be fully operated before buying. Families should try child restraints, luggage placement and entry routes in their intended seating arrangement; not every demonstration layout is usable during travel. Verify precise battery type and trim from factory records, confirm charging-network compatibility and ask whether local repair technicians can actually support the 2024 China software and parts. Avoid attempting work on the high-voltage system.
Who it suits, limitations and alternatives
The MIX offers a different kind of family transport from the larger Zeekr 009 luxury MPV or conventional crossover: it prioritizes flexibility and passenger interaction over a familiar boot-and-bench layout. This could appeal to city-based buyers with dependable charging and parking accommodation, but would be impractical when local support or compatible charge access is missing. Comparing the 2024 MIX with other electric MPVs requires special caution about CLTC range and the exact market supplied. This article does not assume the manufacturer’s promotional charging time will repeat at every public charger.
