2025 Xiaomi SU7 Ultra: Specifications, Versions and Buying Guide

Scope: 2025 documented sale/production year; verified variant jurisdictions: CN. Figures apply only to the variants identified below.

Xiaomi's SU7 Ultra is a useful 2025 archive entry because it was actually launched and delivered in China, not merely shown as a concept. It takes the SU7's electric-sedan identity into a dedicated high-performance realm, making it a separate consumer research proposition from ordinary rear-drive SU7 sedans. This does not make it a globally offered car: commercial evidence here is Chinese.

2025 Specification and Market Differences

Xiaomi's March 2025 investor presentation dates the SU7 Ultra launch to February 2025 and official deliveries to March. It lists a 529,900-yuan launch price, a tri-motor layout and peak 1,548 PS. The marketing acceleration and speed figures come from Xiaomi, not from tests conducted by this publication, and should not be confused with an unmodified ordinary SU7. The manufacturer's 2024 unveiling is not the same event as its 2025 sale.

Who Should Consider It?

The extraordinary output is only part of the purchase decision. A high-performance sedan is also about tyres, brakes, thermal management and the condition of expensive chassis components. These systems can produce costs very different from a standard family EV. Owners who never use this capability should scrutinise whether the premium is worthwhile instead of equating claimed acceleration with everyday usefulness.

Ownership and Used-Buyer Checks

Software is another area where evidence matters. Assisted-driving systems require precise market, hardware and activation information; manufacturer 'intelligent driving' language is not a reason to describe the car as autonomous. Imported examples raise questions about charging compatibility, navigation, warranty, service access and software language. A prospective buyer should establish each of those points before relying on a direct-import broker's claims.

Alternatives and Verdict

The Porsche Taycan and high-spec Tesla Model S are plausible conceptual competitors where legitimately sold, though price and regulatory contexts vary enormously. The SU7 Ultra should be valued as a Chinese-market performance flagship with a documented 2025 release, not as a universal export model. No Nürburgring prototype record or manufacturer top-speed claim can substitute for independent road testing of a specific production car.
