2026 Xiaomi YU7: China Standard and GT EV Guide
CN market / documented 2026 sale year. Xiaomi added YU7 Standard and GT configurations in China during 2026; compare CLTC ratings and meaningful powertrain differences. Specifications and buying advice below apply only to the documented market and named configuration, not to every vehicle carrying this badge worldwide.
Verified regional configurations
- CN — YU7 Standard introduced May 2026: battery electric; CLTC range: 643 km; launch price: RMB 233,500; platform voltage: 752 V. Test basis: CLTC.
- CN — YU7 GT introduced May 2026: high-performance battery electric; power: 1003 PS; battery capacity: 101.7 kWh; platform voltage: 897 V; CLTC range: 705 km; launch price from: RMB 389,900. Test basis: CLTC.
An established SUV with real 2026 additions
Xiaomi’s YU7 family was already being delivered in China before 2026, but its company announcement identifies new Standard and GT versions officially launched on 21 May 2026. This year-specific catalog entry distinguishes those changes from the original YU7 introduction and keeps the trim variants together under one SUV lineage. There is no supported claim here that an ordinary YU7, a YU7 GT and a separately imported foreign-market SUV share identical charging equipment.
Why GT changes the comparison
The manufacturer describes the YU7 GT as a performance SUV with a 1,003-PS peak output, a 101.7-kWh ternary lithium battery, 897-volt high-voltage platform and published 705-km CLTC range. It also quotes a launch price from RMB 389,900. These are claimed specifications and a Chinese test-cycle range; they do not demonstrate independent acceleration or durability. Someone buying principally for range may find that the highest-output version is not the ideal choice.
The new Standard configuration
Xiaomi’s disclosure also gives a YU7 Standard model with a 752-volt electrical platform, a published CLTC range of 643 km and a starting amount of RMB 233,500. Its equipment list mentions LiDAR and the company’s digital cockpit approach. Because the trim naming has evolved, buyers need to identify the production date and actual hardware package. A planned software enhancement for another Xiaomi model should not be assumed compatible with the YU7 without explicit support documentation.
Ownership and cross-shopping
The YU7 is a candidate for Chinese families who want a relatively large electric SUV and a strong digital feature package, while the GT serves a more specialized performance audience. Practical concerns include body size in crowded cities, tire replacement expense, charging access and the complexity of electronic features over time. Compare Tesla Model Y and XPeng G9 by equivalent Chinese-market configuration and CLTC procedure. No European 2026 sales identity is created here: Xiaomi’s global site says these models have not yet entered those markets.
