Research checked 2026-10-24. Individual vehicle eligibility must be confirmed with the manufacturer or regulator.
Model year is only one field
A manufacturer may describe a 2024 model-year vehicle built in 2023. Another country may record only production years. In Japan Toyota provides chassis-series spans and states that not every unit within a displayed range is necessarily affected. Treat each field according to its own label, rather than turning a factory date into a customer-delivery date.
Supersession is not duplication
Transport Canada says 2026-241 replaces 2025-614 for certain Toyota/Lexus engine vehicles. In Australia the newer Kia EV6 ICCU campaign REC-006238 superseded REC-005946. Those relationships belong in the data record; retain both old and new identifiers instead of deleting the older one, otherwise a legitimate historic repair invoice may appear to have no match.
Another campaign may address a related component
Toyota Japan has Prius door-related notices 5474 in 2024 and 5770 in 2026, but their described mechanisms and repairs differ. Do not call them the same campaign or claim one superseded another without a manufacturer statement. A vehicle could require a separate lookup for each depending on its chassis and completed work.
Keep the proof package
For a buyer, a durable record is the VIN or frame number, official campaign ID, country, dated notice, original repair description, dealer invoice or manufacturer completion confirmation, and date checked. Personal VINs are sensitive information; never publish them in editorial pages or public comments.
A practical closing check
[“Before relying on a summary, record the specific vehicle identification, country of original sale and date the official source was checked. Compare any recall or test result with the source’s written eligibility statement. If a safety concern is active, prioritise the current manufacturer’s instructions and a qualified professional over forum diagnosis.”]
