2026 Škoda Enyaq SUV: 60, 85, 85x and RS Explained
Market scope: EU. Year basis: documented 2026 commercial sale / update.
What is different about this model?
The Enyaq remains Škoda's more spacious electric family SUV and, in 2026, continues with several materially different powertrain choices. Škoda's March announcement reflects an existing vehicle already being delivered in Europe, while describing refinements planned for a mid-year rollout. Treat an early-2026 used Enyaq and a later-build vehicle as potentially different in electronics and equipment until their individual build specifications are confirmed.
Powertrain and verified specifications
Škoda's 2026 figures list the Enyaq 60 at 140 kW with a 61 kWh gross, 58 kWh usable battery. The 85, 85x and RS use 82 kWh gross, 77 kWh net packs; quoted outputs are 210, 220 and 250 kW. The 85 is rear-drive, whereas the 85x and RS have dual-motor all-wheel drive. The published charging maximum for the larger battery grades is 165 kW, compared with 105 kW for the 60. The manufacturer also distinguishes braked trailer limits by version.
Which version makes sense?
Choose the Enyaq for its broader family-carrying brief rather than buying the most expensive motor configuration reflexively. A rear-drive 85 may offer the best balance for regular long-distance use, whereas 85x suits households that value added traction. A 60 could be a sensible second car when journeys are predictable. The RS is a different spending decision: more output does not automatically mean better motorway efficiency or lower operating costs. Verify the exact local wheel and tyre package for any range estimate.
Ownership and used-car considerations
The Enyaq name also covers a coupé-style body, which this SUV article does not silently absorb. For a used example, check battery-status documentation where available, AC/DC charging behaviour, recalls by VIN, tyres and service history. Do not assume a factory software feature mentioned for later-2026 production is retrofittable to every earlier unit. Quoted battery capacities are not a promise about energy available after years of use; independent battery-condition inspection is more useful than extrapolating from age alone.
