The Leapmotor C10 has an important timeline distinction in Europe. Stellantis and Leapmotor opened orders for the battery-electric C10 in September 2024, with dealerships preparing the product for that autumn. A subsequent range-extender version appeared in a later period and should not silently enter a 2024 BEV specification profile. That distinction affects both servicing and daily use: the launch European C10 relies on external charging, whereas a range-extender carries a combustion generator. This article concerns the 2024 European electric product, not all Chinese C10 variants.
Powertrain and 2024 market specification
For the original European C10 BEV, Stellantis announced 420 km on the WLTP combined range test and referenced the Leapmotor LEAP 3.0 architecture. A contemporary European technical brochure identifies a 69.9 kWh nominal battery, a rear-drive electric motor rated at 160 kW and a single-speed drive unit. It also lists DC charging and cabin dimensions. These are European-market data; Chinese domestic range labels should not replace WLTP values on a European comparison chart. A seller’s use of the generic word “hybrid” for this 2024 BEV requires immediate clarification.
What to examine on a used example
An owner considering a used C10 should establish whether the particular unit was supplied by the European distribution network, has the correct charging connection and receives service and software support in the country of registration. Check account transfer, charge-port operation, maps, cameras, driver-assistance alerts and battery warranty documents. The presence of a showroom near the seller does not prove that parts or service are available locally for all imports. Inspect tyre condition and chassis alignment, especially for vehicles that have covered significant motorway distances.
Buyer fit, limitations and alternatives
The model appeals to buyers who want a relatively spacious EV and value specification transparency over badge familiarity. Alternatives include the Škoda Enyaq, Volkswagen ID.4 and Ford Explorer EV; compare real local dealer support, usable boot space and tariff structures as well as distance between chargers. The WLTP 420 km figure is not a verified real-world range guarantee, particularly in cold weather or at sustained highway speeds. Do not treat an unverified 2025 C10 REEV specification as a 2024 feature just because the exterior looks similar.
